"Through Our Eyes" Extended Version on YouTube!

Remember my documentary "Through Our Eyes: Living with Asperger's"?
(With how ridiculously often I promote it? I hope so!)

I released the 50-minute extended version on YouTube, so you can watch it for free! It used to be exclusively available on DVD, but I decided to release it to the public during Autism Acceptance Month, where it will be here on the internet to stay. Feel free to use it (along with any of the videos below) for educational settings or to spread awareness/acceptance this April.

Help spread the word by posting it on social media and sharing it with friends!

If you would still like a DVD copy, you can get them from my shop for only $6.99 now!. https://life-of-an-aspie.blogspot.com/p/shop.html

The YouTube version and the DVD (recently re-released) now has subtitles in English and five other languages.

I also uploaded the exclusive bonus interviews from the DVD to YouTube. These interviews feature parents of individuals on the spectrum and psych professionals experienced with autistic individuals.

Help Alyssa and Matt Reunite! ♥ ~ GoFundMe Campaign

I hope my work has benefited you in some way. I never would have imagined "Through Our Eyes" becoming so widespread, but I'm thankful it did. It helped me discover the amazing autism community and meet so many great people. I know now I am not alone!

Now I need your help. I am longing for independence, to move out of my parents house and finally marry my fiancé
Matt Rhodes. (Yes, the same Matt Rhodes from the film!) Please check out my GoFundMe campaign, share it with others, and donate if you can.

I am not usually one to ask for help or handouts, I believe in hard work and self-sufficiency. But the reality that I live with is that I cannot work-full time, and my government benefits are not enough to live off of. I work hard every day to advocate for the autism community, and take care of myself, but it does not support me enough financially.

My friends, family, and followers: you are dear to me and I am grateful for any support. Please share on social media to spread the word. :)

Filmmakers: Sony Vegas Editing Software is $20! (Ends 12/27)

Merry Christmas!

For filmmakers like me (aspiring or accomplished), this would be a great gift!

Sony Vegas Pro Edit for $20!

Sony Vegas is a video editing software comparable to Adobe Premiere, usually super pricey but you can get it in this $20 bundle until Dec 27th.

Kudos to my brother for finding this deal. (This post was not sponsored by anyone.)

For the record, I am an Adobe Premiere editor but grabbed one of these anyway. $20 is way more affordable than $1,000+ for another Adobe Suite and it's good to have a backup.

And don't forget that until 01/15/2018 you can get a DVD copy (special edition) of "Through Our Eyes: Living with Asperger's" for only $10! Alternatively, streaming access to the full-length film is only $5.

Have a great season, stay warm and see you in 2018!
